Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data Doko processes and how.
When you save a link in Doko, the URL is sent to our servers to fetch and cache metadata (page title, description, and preview image). This cached data is stored in our database and returned to your device for display. We do not collect or have access to your personal organization data — tags, visited status, and notes — which are stored only on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account.
If you use Sign in with Apple to link a web subscription, we receive an anonymous, Apple-assigned user identifier. This identifier allows us to recognize returning users without being able to identify who they are. We do not request your name, email address, or any other personal information through this flow.
If you subscribe to Doko Pro, Apple processes your payment. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state; RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous customer ID and your subscription entitlements — no payment details are shared with us.
We use the TikTok App Events SDK to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. This helps us understand which ads led to new users discovering Doko. We do not use this to show you ads inside the app.
On iOS, we may request permission to access your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You will see a prompt before any tracking begins. If you deny the request, no advertising identifier is shared.
If your App Store account is registered in the European Union, EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we only enable advertising measurement if you explicitly authorize tracking via the ATT prompt.
The following data may be shared with TikTok for attribution purposes: device advertising identifier (IDFA, if authorized), an anonymous internal user ID, and standard app events (app install, app launch, subscription purchase, onboarding completion). Your email address, name, and payment details are never shared.
We do not collect:
Your personal organization data (tags, visited status, notes) syncs across your Apple devices via iCloud using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is stored in your personal iCloud container. We cannot access it.
Doko uses the following third-party services:
Cached metadata (title, description, preview image) is stored on our servers as long as it is useful to serve it. Your personal organization data exists only on your device and in your iCloud account. You can delete all local data at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete All Data).
Doko is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
